A Simple, Grounded Stay in Nature
The Nature Immersion Stay is a private, self-directed experience for those who feel called to step away from busy environments and spend time in a quiet, natural setting in Portugal.
It is designed for rest, simplicity, and reconnection, a chance to slow down, breathe, and return to yourself.
This is not a retreat programme and does not include structured facilitation or group work. Instead, it offers space, nature, and stillness, with the option to book 1:1 healing sessions separately if you wish.
The Purpose of This Experience
This stay supports:
- rest and nervous system decompression
- time in nature and natural rhythms
- simplicity and slowing down
- emotional space and inner quiet
- reflection, clarity, and personal reset
Everything is intentionally kept simple so you can arrive without pressure, expectation, or agenda.
What This Experience Is - and Is Not
This is a quiet, self-directed stay in nature.
It is not:
- a structured retreat programme
- facilitated healing or group work
- a community living or residency programme
- a work-exchange or volunteering arrangement
This clarity helps maintain the simplicity, safety, and integrity of the space.
Ways of Staying on the Land
Each stay offers a different way of resting in nature, depending on your needs for simplicity, comfort, and privacy.
Guests have exclusive access to the camping facilities throughout their stay, allowing for a quiet, uninterrupted connection with nature and the land.
If you’re unsure where to pitch, Andrea is happy to help you find the perfect spot on arrival.
Access to the site is by four wheel drive or on foot. We can collect you from our local village.
Self-Sufficiency
This is an independent stay.
You will take care of your own food, cooking, and daily needs during your time here.
Optional 1:1 Healing Support
During your stay, you are welcome to book optional individual healing sessions if you feel called.
These are not included in the accommodation and are arranged separately.
Sessions may support:
- emotional release and processing
- nervous system regulation
- energetic balance and grounding
- clarity during times of change or transition
- reconnection with body, intuition, and inner guidance
Approaches may include somatic awareness, guided inner work, frequency-based healing, and other intuitive practices depending on your needs.

Tent Pitch
Choose Your Own Corner of the Valley
At Rainbow Valley, camping is all about finding the spot that feels right for you.
Guests can choose between a flat, grassy terrace close to the campsite facilities, ideal for easy access to the outdoor kitchen, compost toilet and solar shower, or a more secluded wild camping spot beneath the trees, where you can immerse yourself in nature and wake to birdsong.
The grassy terrace offers a relatively flat surface and is suitable for most tent sizes, up to 5m. For those seeking a more tucked-away experience, there are shaded woodland areas where campers are welcome to choose their own peaceful corner of the valley. Ground conditions in the wilder areas are more natural and varied.

Campervan Pitch
Sunset Views or Valley Access
Campervan guests have a choice of two beautiful locations, depending on the type of experience they are looking for and their confidence driving rural tracks.
Option 1 - Sunset View Park-Up
For easier access, campervans can park at the top of the valley in a peaceful spot with beautiful sunset views across the landscape. This option is ideal for guests who prefer simpler access or larger vehicles. From here, the campsite facilities and riverside valley are around a 10-minute walk downhill, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds - easy access and quiet nature.
Option 2 - Into the Valley
For more confident drivers, it is possible to drive down into Rainbow Valley and park on a flat area near Andrea’s house, just a 2-minute walk from the campsite facilities.
The valley track is a rustic dirt road and can be uneven and bumpy in places. It has been successfully driven by Transit-sized vans and similar campervans, though guests should feel confident driving on rural tracks. A 4WD is helpful but not essential.

Bell Tent Stay
A spacious 5m bell tent set in a peaceful natural setting, offered as a completely private stay with no other guests on site. Inside you’ll find a comfortable double camp bed, creating a simple and cosy space to rest and unwind beneath canvas.
This is a slow, grounded experience designed for rest, simplicity, and space to fully relax into the rhythm of the valley.

The Artist's Dome
A cosy, handcrafted earth dome for dreamers, creatives and nature lovers
Tucked into the hillside of Rainbow Valley, the Artist’s Dome is a unique and intimate handcrafted earth shelter designed for those who love unusual places to stay.
With its colourful painted walls, mosaic floor and curved dome structure, this cosy space feels part woodland hideaway, part artist’s retreat. Thoughtfully handmade and full of character, it offers a warm and cocooning atmosphere - perfect for slowing down, resting and reconnecting with nature.
The dome is approximately 12.5m² (4m diameter), creating a snug and peaceful experience for solo travellers or couples seeking simplicity and quiet. Without windows, the space has a tucked-away, restful feeling - ideal for deep sleep and switching off from the outside world.

The Valley Dome
A spacious earth dome with valley views and room to truly unwind. The Valley Dome offers a unique off-grid stay in a handcrafted earth shelter, blending comfort, simplicity and a close connection to nature.
Built into the landscape and thoughtfully designed, this spacious 50m² circular dome (8m diameter) offers a calming and grounding place to slow down and settle into the rhythm of valley life. Painted in soft white tones and featuring a window overlooking the surrounding nature, the dome feels light, peaceful and beautifully connected to its surroundings.
Perfect for couples, solo travellers or anyone longing for rest, the Valley Dome offers space to relax, reflect and enjoy the quiet beauty of Rainbow Valley.
