Amy – Lovely secluded spot in the mountain. I was there in March. It was cold, rainy and windy, but the house was lovely and warm and there is still so much you can do in the area even if the weather is bad. The baby goats were delightful and the dogs were lovely to be around.
Bas -Great place to stay if you like the outdoors! Excellent area to go hiking or simply staying near the house and look at all the animals. Andrea and Daniel are very warm people and excellent hosts who will instantly make you feel at home. The house was warm, clean and cozy. Can recommend it to anyone!
Sara – We spend a really good week at Andrea and Daniels home. It is a perfect combination of rural off grid living and comfortable facilities. The food was delicious and the company even better. We would definitely go there again. And for sure recommend it.
Angela – It was 2 amazing nights at Andrea’s place, Andrea and Dan are super nice hosts, I slept like an angel I’m a very cosy bedroom, bed is just amazing! It a really nice place to have a rest far from the noise, surrounded by nature, pets and animals. I got also a very special reiki treatment with Andrea and I highly recommend if you are thinking to have the whole retreat experience. I can not wait to return again and I hope it will be soon. Five stars!
Kaira – Andrea was an amazing Hostess and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Rainbow Lodge is such a unique property, with open views of trees, hills, and nearby villages, and all the different animals there are so much fun. 🙂 The bed, bathroom, and other amenities were very comfortable and beyond what we expected or needed. I hope to be back sometime in the future!
Yekaterina & Denis – Andrea and Daniel are such amazing people. Their house is absolutely lovely with huge windows, and you start to feel at home from the first minutes! Goat milk is tasty:) atmosphere is magic. Staying at their house you definitely feel you meet the special people and they are of the best. Thank you
Klaas – Andrea and Daniel are an amazing couple and we enjoyed staying on their quiet piece of land. We stayed in the yurt which was cosy and bigger then you would expect. We had a very relaxing night and Andrea gave us extra blankets because of a colder September night. During the day after we took a hike in the surrounding area while eating some grapes on the road, visited the nearby castle, saw Andrea herding her goats, … A very beautiful place and ‘must-stay’ if you’re ever near Serra da Estrela!
Jesse – What an amazing place to stay a couple of days. The nature is so beautiful and peaceful. Andrea and Daniël are really kind and friendly hosts. When you like to know more about astrology and tarot this is also a good place for that. Andrea can cook also great! The area is beautiful for a walk (behind the house you can already start) or drive through the national park to torre, amazing. There are lots of places where you can swim (vale do rossim or loriga). Grateful to start our Portugal trip here. And wow, the last thing, the sunsets are more then beautiful. Just go there.
Claire -Aug 13 -Excellent place for a few relaxed days in a great and clean Yurt. While it is in the sun, there are enough shadowy places (and some hammocks) to spend the day if you don’t do any trips from here. Andrea is a very helpful host who will try to accommodate your every need and picks you up from the bus/train station if you don’t have a car. Excellent breakfasts with home made cheese and jams, true free range eggs and blueberries!
